EXACTLY! Once during a Philosophy class in Uni my prof was talking about a new study that allowed mice to live exponentially longer, his question to the class was, "why wouldn't this information be front page news?" My answer was "well if we aren't afraid of death, then we aren't going to be so afraid of life, and we would start living empowered lives, rather than following the rules and complying". My prof responded saying I sounds like a conspiracy theorist, haha!
